Spring Star Flower White Star Fall Bulb Ipheion uniflorum ‘White Star’
The Spring Star Flower ‘White Star’, ‘Ipheion uniflorum’, a fall planted bulb, produces gorgeous white flowers. These gorgeous flowers are six-petaled, star-shaped, and are sweetly fragrant. These white flowers make a superb acccent for other nearby flowers. The grass-like foliage smells like garlic when crushed. The Spring Star Flower is great for edges of borders and plant layering. They bloom from early to late spring. It spreads by self-seeding and from bulb offsets. After a few years, if blooms begin to decline, the clumps need to be dug up, bulbs divided, and replanted to start afresh. This can be done at spring’s end or whenever blooms have declined, or as soon as the grass begins to die back.

I hate these!
These are pretty much just as annoying as Dandelions. They grow all over the yard and in any flower area and their leaves look like over grown grass… In order to get rid of them you have to dig up their bulbs. They would be ok if they didn’t re-seed themselves in massive groups covering entire areas. When their leaves wilt there are especially unattractive…
Spring Star flowers
I love the Spring Star flowers. The ones in my garden do not spread out much. I only have a few of them each year and they are beautiful. One either loves flowers or doesn’t love flowers.
