Hello,

Arbor Day Foundation sent me 8 seedlings that are doing well in a large plastic tote and have grown from about 6 inches tall to over two feet, under the shade of a very mature mesquite. I have read that best time to plant is November. I know that these trees require good drainage and want to be sure I give them the best elevation and exposure to grow well into maturity here in Zone 9.

Any advice you can offer is very much appreciated.

Can this plant be replanted by cutting off a piece and planting it in another garden? I have two in hanging pots. I live in Mississippi so would this plant be a annual or a perennial. Can tey be brought inside during the cold months. I would hate to see them die. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
